Nancy Crigger, PhD, MA, APRN-BC, FAAN


Dr. Nancy Crigger is a widely known nursing education professional with specialized knowledge and expertise in the professional development of nurses, and ethics in the field of nursing. Dr. Crigger has been in the field for more than 30 years, and has published extensively on the topic of nursing ethics, with particular focus on professionalism, curriculum development, and global ethics. Her recent book, The Making of Nurse Professionals: A Transformational Ethical Approach, co-authored with Nelda Godfrey, presents an in-depth philosophical inquiry of professional identity formation in nursing education. Dr. Crigger also has extensive experience in development of international service learning programs. In addition to her speaking and publishing activities, she currently maintains a full-time practice as a family nurse practitioner.
