Dr. Karen Morin holds a strong reputation in nursing education in both the academic and administrative areas, and she has taught students at all levels. Dr. Morin has expertise in doctoral education [PhD & DNP], curriculum development and program evaluation. She currently serves as Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and Visiting Professor, at the University of West Georgia, Tanner System School of Nursing. Over the last 35 years, she has held teaching positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Thomas Jefferson University, Widener University, the Pennsylvania State University, and Western Michigan University. Dr. Morin has been widely recognized for her teaching abilities, receiving honors such as an Excellence in Teaching award from the National League for Nursing, and the Excellence in Nursing Education Award from the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses.

Dr. Morin has also held academic leadership positions for the past 10 years, and has published more than 100 journal articles, chapters, and abstracts. She serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Nursing Education and has given numerous presentations addressing the need to develop leaders. Dr. Morin currently serves as Mentor for one scholar in the Nurse Faculty Leadership Program and one in the Experienced Nurse Faculty Leadership Program.
